It’s always a pleasure to be a part of those days where we realise what a wedding is all about – love and marrying the person you want to spend the rest of your life with! Here are some weddings I’ve shot so you can see how I approach the day and what you can expect from yours!
Zara and Oliver – Upton Barn, Devon
Zara and Oliver’s day was a long time coming – about 2 years since they had first booked me!
But it’s amazing how quickly these days come around and before I knew it, it was their turn.
James and Amanda – Engagement Shoot – Exmouth, Devon
James and Amanda were my lucky winners last year of a free engagement shoot!
Having travelled up from their home in Cornwall, we decided on Exmouth to meet for the shoot.
Briant Family Session
Lets go for a walk!
I met the Briant family at Otterhead Lakes, just south of Taunton in Somerset. Along with Bertie the dog, we had a relaxed walk along the lakes and woods stopping for photos on the way.
Joanne and Aaron – Rockbeare Manor, Devon
I was very excited to be able to get the chance to photograph at this stunning venue last summer!
Not far from Exeter lies the very impressive Rockbeare Manor set within 100 acres of grounds.
Ellie and Rob – Burgh Island, Devon
When Ellie first contacted me to say they were getting married on Burgh Island, I was really hoping that they would pick me to capture their day! Having been there a couple of years ago, I couldn’t wait to go back!
Lizzie and Henry – Buckland St Mary, Somerset
I absolutely love farm weddings! There’s is something so nice about capturing a couple’s big day at the same place where they live and work, it’s so personal and relaxed.
I met Lizzie and Henry through a friend of mine and knew instantly it would be a family focused day. Lizzie was pregnant with who is now little Arthur and alongside their eldest Edward who would play a big part of the day.
Julie and Michael – Taunton, Somerset
When Julie first phones me last summer, I knew this was going to be a nice wedding to photograph.
Julie and Michael had been together for 37 years and had decided now was the time to get married!
Rich and Charlie – The Great Barn, Devon
I love it when a friend asks me to be their wedding photographer and when Rich and Charlie asked me to be theirs I couldn’t be more excited!
The Great Barn is a hidden gem sitting between Haldon forest and Dartmoor in the small village of Higher Ashton. With the grade 1 listed church at the top of the village, it’s the perfect setting for couples that want to have all their celebrations nearby.
Tom and Caroline – Sidmouth, Devon
I met Tom and the boys on a very sunny September morning at Sidmouth Cricket Club. With unbroken blue skies, their marquee wedding looked set to be good one!
Matthew and Louise – Curry Rivel, Somerset
With what was probably the most relaxed bridal prep morning I have ever had, I met Louise and her bridesmaids in the pretty village of Curry Rivel in Somerset at her parent’s house just a stones throw from the church.
Craig and Alix – Escot House, Devon
It’s always nice to shoot a local wedding and Escot House in East Devon doesn’t get much closer for me! Craig and Alix on the other hand had travelled all the way from Canada for their big day!
Tom and Jo – Ottery St Mary, Devon
Another country themed wedding for Tom and Jo’s big day. This time featuring the best decorated cow shed you will ever see!
With Jo growing up on a farm in East Devon and Tom being a firefighter, it seemed only fitting that they arrived on a tractor and fire engine respectively!
