With a Hint of Winter Sun
I love it when a friend asks me to be their wedding photographer and when Rich and Charlie asked me to be theirs I couldn’t be more excited!
The Great Barn is a hidden gem sitting between Haldon forest and Dartmoor in the small village of Higher Ashton. With the grade 1 listed church at the top of the village, it’s the perfect setting for couples that want to have all their celebrations nearby.
After what can only be described as torrential downpours as the guests were arriving, Charlie and Rich started their special day with a candlelit ceremony in the slightly chilly chapel where the sun decided to make an appearance and just so happened to stay out for the rest of the day. This made for some great photographs with that winter sun poking through the trees!
Charlie and Rich went all out with their delicious Devon feast supplied by the brilliant Dartmoor Kitchen which was followed by some emotional, funny and heartfelt speeches courtesy of Rich and his best man.
The evening celebrations were kicked off not with your traditional first dance, but instead a Ceilidh which is brilliant for getting your guests up and dancing! This was a sure fire way of keeping guests on the dancefloor where I’m sure they stayed for many hours!
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Ford.
Please take a look at my favourites from the day, and if you are looking for a photographer to cover your wedding celebrations please get in touch!
